Animator for Chikn Nuggit

Kevie Santos (they/them) has been an Animator on Chikn Nuggit since 2022 and loves bringing characters to life. They also love storytelling and jokes, so this is their perfect job. Animating since they were a child, they didn’t realize that drawing could be a job until the last year of high school. Kevie kept drawing the same characters over and over because they couldn’t get enough of Sonic the Hedgehog, Pokemon, and Undertale. When Kevie discovered Adobe Flash as a kid, animating became incredibly satisfying. They want to bring joy to people and make friends and strangers smile and laugh. When Kevie started at the Animation Lab, they weren’t really aware of the entire animation pipeline but are having a blast because there’s so much creative freedom to write their own scripts and storyboard. They also want the entire team to get the recognition, admiration, and long-form videos they deserve because everyone at the Lab has a brilliant amount of talent and passion.

Kevie’s advice to aspiring animators is, “Experiment with art styles!! Part of being an animator is being able to replicate the art style of the product! Doing this will help you improve and maybe even influence and develop your own art style as well! Also, when animating, take note of your arcs! That's how you'll be able to deliver satisfying animations!”

From the Philippines, Kevie grew up in California and now lives near the Bay area. One of their favorite places to visit is Pier 39 in San Francisco. They love the smell and sounds of the ocean, and seeing the sea lions laze about and bicker with each other. Kevie’s most favorite things are Undertale and Rain World and they need more people to talk with about these games – they’ve been rotting in their brain for YEARS and they need someone else to rot with. Kevie’s also always obsessing about the cuteness of frogs.
